Doctor Who AU: The Doctor and Rose pick up a stray Clara to go werewolf hunting with them.
do you ever make a huge scene and then march off to your bedroom but eventually you get hungry and you feel like you can’t leave your room because you want to prove a point or something

#it shouldn’t be possible really #dean is a mere blip in castiel’s existence #he’s like a fragment of a second #and to say you know someone so well that you know when they’re not being themselves #is almost laughable #naomi would laugh #hester would laugh #but castiel looks down at dean #broken bloody dean who says ‘i know you’ #and the faith he sees in those eyes is enough to make him believe that this man is the only one who really does (deaninpanties)
Plot twist: The next companion is a normal girl/boy who only dies once in their lifetime and has no remarkable back story but he thinks they’re wonderful because they are human and the Doctor needs reminding that you don’t need to be a mystery to be remarkable.
donna. the thing you’re talking about is donna.
RTD’s companions, more accurately
but… that’s what I love about Clara: she is totally human and normal, and had she not met the Doctor in this year, she would have remained that way; she would have remained the only incarnation of Clara Oswald and none of his other encounters with her would have taken place. I don’t think people realize that the reason the Doctor doesn’t remember encountering her upon each regeneration is that the GI changed history, and thus when she saved him, she changed it, too. they rewrote time. she wasn’t always some extraordinary thing destined to be born and die and born again; she was never anything but Clara until she decided to sacrifice herself and be spread across time. she was a very normal, clever, girl who craved adventure, and the Doctor opened up galaxies of adventure for her. SHE WASN’T ANYTHING BUT NORMAL UNTIL THAT POINT. this is one of the reasons I loved the explanation of her being through time; it wasn’t like she was manufactured for that, or some plot device; it was all on her own terms and her choosing.
so, to be fair, she is no more extraordinary than Rose being enveloped by the time vortex, or Donna becoming Doctor!Donna. she was also just a normal human (come on, guys, I mean… she was a nanny to two children who also lost their mum, didn’t know how to use the internets, frequently attempted to bake a perfect souffle, kept a childhood book with the leaf that basically conceived her, dreamed of traveling, and used real life skills to outsmart the Doctor on their first meeting) until events after meeting the Doctor left her choosing self-sacrifice like many other companions dating back to Classic Who.
I don’t get the argument that Clara isn’t normal. 2013, original, human, pre-Doctor Clara is about the only companion I can relate to with a burning sense of human traits: I just want to go on an adventure, too.
that, and I just really love being the boss.

Men Experiencing Labor Pains
With their wives supporting them.
HAHAHHAHAHA TOO GOOD
I bet a kick in the balls would feel real good right about then.
“Men can handle anything”
“Women exaggerate everything”
And then they realized just how wrong they were
I wish they had pointed out the level of normal period cramps
When traffic was making him late for his panel, he didn’t just sit in the car and wait for it to take him to the hotel.
He got out of the car and RAN the rest of the way to the hotel x x x
I’m sorry, but celebrities don’t do that. They accept that they’re going to be late and apologize when they get there. They don’t get out of the car and run the rest of the way to the hotel so that they don’t let down their fans.
Bravo, Mr. Collins. Bravo.
